Douglas Gene Stanhope (born March 25, 1967)[1] is an American stand-up comedian, author, actor, political activist and podcast host.

Stanhope was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Bonnie (née Kirk), a waitress, and "Russ" Russell Herbert Stanhope (September 16, 1927 – March 17, 2001), head of science at Stanhope's school.[2][3] Bonnie quit drinking alcohol and divorced her husband when Stanhope was ten years old, and moved to Florida.[2] Stanhope and his older brother Jeff lived with Russ.[3]
