          When a very young Patricia left her home town, East London, in the Eastern Cape in 1978, she had a dream of becoming one of the most successful local pop female singer.

          After an initial ten years struggle to have a niche for herself in the music industry, �Lady Luck?came her way when she met hit producer Dan Tshanda.

          6. The name Patricia Majalisa is synonymous with that of Dan Tshanda and Splash. It�s that very combination that brought her to the limelight in 1988. Patricia was that electrifying backing voice who started the group Splash in Chiawelo, Soweto with Dan Tshanda and the other members of the group.



          At the time they were known as �The Flying Sounds?and as she reflects, �those were hard times, really, if one was a weakling, one could have easily despaired and gone back home. Nothing seemed to come our way, but our patience paid off.
