          Meir Har-Zion (1934-2014) was born in the new town of Herzliya in 1934.

          6. His mother’s side hailed from Sephardic-Turkish heritage, while his father’s side came from Romania and Russia. He spent his early years on a number of different kibbutzim and moshavim.
