          Krisztina Egerszegi, a Hungarian swimmer specializing in backstroke and individual medley, was born on August 16, 1974 in Budapest.

          She started swimming at a young age and showed such exceptional talent that she was included in the Hungarian Olympic swimming team at the age of 14 for the 1988 Olympic Games held in Seoul.
