          The Rev. Peter Bulkeley was of the thirteenth generation from Baron Robert de Bulkeley, 1199-1216; he came to America in 1635, settled in Cambridge, Mass., and in 1636 in Concord.

            Dr. Bulkeley was the pastor of the Second church in New London and removed to Wethersfield in 1667. After a pastorate of ten years he retired and practiced medicine, surgery and
